– Musicien d’origine marocaine, Saïd Mesnaoui puise son inspiration aux sources mêmes de la tradition L’âme de cette musique étant étroitement liée au rythme, il ne cesse de le réinventer. Il explore à fond ces rythmes anciens, les modernise. Il travaille à son nouvel album Al Maddloum où se côtoient la magie des rythmes marocains (ghiwane, gnawa), un tempo rock, des pulsations reggae, blues, jazz qui sous l’effet de la transe gnawa s’harmonisent. L’artiste nous propose dans cet album une atmosphère frénétique où les rythmes Gnawa jaillissent avec force et énergie

A musician of Moroccan origin, Saïd Mesnaoui draws his inspiration from the very sources of tradition. The soul of this music being closely linked to rhythm, he never stops reinventing it. He is working on his new album Al Maddloum where the magic of Moroccan rhythms (ghiwane, gnawa), a rock tempo, reggae, blues, jazz pulsations which under the effect of the gnawa trance are harmonized.
